Alli Butler woke up the other day and discovered she was 40. That was unexpected. Last time she looked she was 20! How did becoming a nurse, getting married, having a kid and force-feeding her husband celery juice eat into so many days? To return to her destiny and true identity as a mega celebrity, Alli flees the city, returns to the small country town where she was born and performs to the sheep, cows and canola. It was a good decision.
The shows were a raging success. And when she followed that up and actually played gigs to real people it was even better. It’s been heady times since our Alli, ex-nurse, mother, and colon-cleaner-upperer, threw her sphygmomanometer to the wind. Life has been one rollercoaster of gigs, recordings and photoshoots. Occasionally she feeds her child.
’40 Year Old Popstar’ combines original music and stand-up comedy. Alli has toured around regional WA, taken the show to Perth’s Fringe World and the 2022 Sydney Fringe Festival, where it was nominated for Best in Musical Theatre and Cabaret.
Alli has performed at major Australian comedy venues, is a singer-songwriter, has acted in musicals and TV shows including All Saints when they buried her in a box (true story).
“TRAUMA. BEING QUEER. They both go together hand in hand so well, for some reason.
From a broken home and a decade of self discovery put on hold, join Andy, as they reach back through memory, with the aid of wine, roses and original rocking music, to try and find a cathartic experience and acceptance.
“I no longer have any words because Andy Freeborn wrote and performed all of the ones that matter.”
“I am still in absolute awe of what this magnificent human created”.

RAJ CHOPRA- A Indian migrant trying to learn the art of dark comedy to become part of Aussie culture. From his initial days in Australia he will surely bring you memories of migrants you encountered in your life. The question for you is IS HE DARK ENOUGH ? For Dark Comedy or Needs become more darker.
Judging by his name, his parents weren’t the biggest fans of him from the moment he was born.
He doesn’t take much in life too seriously.
He’s lanky and round. Kind of like the love child of the Michelin Man & a giraffe.
Whilst only new to the comedy scene, Stanley has been making people laugh for years – usually followed up by “aww that’s cute”
He also guarantees to be awkward in any conversation before or after the show.
Our show is cheeky and loud, black and proud, educationally straight out, non-apologetic, politically wrong, Houso-Mission Bred Black Comedy.
Perhaps a joyful bizarre love triangle between Nina Simone, Depeche Mode & Charli XCX gave rise to Madam Nightingale: an emerging post-genre act to watch.
Performing a spellbinding continuous cycle of song, interpretive dance & theatrical spoken word.
A show recently nominated for the Artistic Merit award at Newcastle Fringe – Madam Nightingale performs ’80’s influenced synthpop with jazz and hyperpop flavours that’s not to be missed.
