Here are some helpful hints to make your show stand out.

Put yourself in the eyes of potential patrons. They scroll through the list of titles till one strike’s their eye, either through the title itself or the image. Therefore your title and image should be something catchey, something that stimulates and creates the desire to read more. Keep your blurb short, neat and to the point. Most of all, with your show, entertain in whatever facet you chose. That is why the audience has come to your show, to be entertained.

As a Fringe we market the festival as a whole. We have been very fortunate in that the local media get right behind us. HOWEVER it is up to you to market your own show. We do plug each show on our social media evenly, but it is still up to you. We will send you a list of media and social media contacts. Some of the local radio stations will interview some of the artists. Send an email emphasising how wonderful your show is.

Lastly, get your nominations in early. We have only limited slots, first in best dressed. Our policy is to keep these regional fringes small, so we have a large population going to limited show, therefore great numbers to each show. Don’t be disappointed.

We recommend your admission price should be between $20 – $35. The booking fee will be on top of the price, i.e. if your price is $25 and the booking fee is $2, the patron pays $27. It is our policy to keep overheads as low as possible. However this is dictated to by the amount of funding we attain.

Entry is free.

There is a 70/30 split, (artists get 70%) on the door sales. This pays our venue rentals, marketing etc. If extra Tech equipment is required a share of the cost may be incurred.
